About Us
The journey of this foundation began with a simple, deeply held conviction that had been on the minds of its founders for years: every child deserves a chance at a secure, healthy, and bright future. Founded in January 2025 by Eyob and Biruh, the organization was born out of an urgent and heartbreaking reality they could no longer ignore.
A severe IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) crisis had been unfolding in their country, flooding the streets of the capital city with thousands of vulnerable children — some as young as six to twelve years old. Stripped of their childhoods, many are orphans, others come from struggling single-parent homes, and all have been completely left behind. Instead of sitting in classrooms, these children spend their days begging and collecting recycled plastic bottles just to survive the night.
Driven by this reality, Eyob and Biruh decided to stop thinking about making a difference and started taking action. They began by providing regular, nutritious meals to 20 children. Today, the foundation actively feeds over 200 children and is scaling rapidly, with plans to reach between 400 and 500 children in the coming month.
Our Programs
Reaching Street Kids
The plight of children living on the streets has always been close to our hearts. We are dedicated to reaching out to these vulnerable youth, offering them not just immediate relief, but a pathway toward stability, safety, and a sense of belonging.
Empowering Through Education
Education is the ultimate equalizer, but many children attending government schools face resource gaps that hold them back. We provide targeted tutoring and academic support to these students, ensuring they have the tools, guidance, and encouragement they need to succeed in their classrooms and beyond.
Specialized Health Support (Type 1 Diabetes)
As health professionals, we see firsthand the unique challenges faced by children living with chronic conditions. An essential upcoming project for our foundation is the launch of a specialized program dedicated to helping kids manage Type 1 Diabetes. We look forward to leveraging our medical background to provide critical education, resources, and care, ensuring these children can navigate their health safely and live life to the fullest.
How We Started (And Where We Are Going)
Great things often have humble beginnings. With nothing but a shared vision and the incredible support of a few good-hearted people, we started by providing regular, nutritious meals to just 20 children.
From those first 20 meals, the spark was lit. Today, we are currently feeding over 200 children, and we are on track to expand our reach to between 400 and 500 kids next month. What began as a small act of kindness has grown into a rapidly expanding foundation blending vital nutritional support, academic mentorship, and a forward-looking healthcare vision. We are living proof that when compassionate people come together, small beginnings can create waves of lasting change.
